SMART WATER, VIDI OPEN/CLOSE 2.0
VIDI Open/Close is a battery-operated device that detects open, partially and close position and transmits data wirelessly.
VIDI Open/Close 2.0 is a Smart IoT device that indicates the open, partially or closed position of several applications that can support the security and monitoring in water distribution networks. This IoT sensor transmits the data wirelessly via LPWA networks.
The device can be installed in a variety of applications such as entrance detection in chambers and pumping stations for improved security, or on swing check and butterflyvalves. After installation and activation, the device transmits information about the position of the valve to the VIDI Cloud platform or to a third-party software (e.g., SCADA or GIS).
VIDI Open/Close provides water utilities with a versatile solution for monitoring the open and close position of assets. For example, utilities can use the valuable information to optimise the operation of the water distribution network.

* Battery life depends on installation, environmental conditions and user interactions. Installation in areas with poor communication signal, low temperatures, use of iron covers or frequent network reconnections can affect battery life.
